Derek McInnes says his Killie side are determined to "make the most" of their European adventure this season.

Killie take on Cercle Brugge on Thursday night at a sold-out Rugby Park in the second qualifying round of the Europa League, after a fantastic fourth place finish last season.

McInnes says he and his players are looking forward to the match, having taken over the side in the midst of a gruelling Scottish Championship title battle more than two years ago.

He has now urged his players to make the most of the game, and produce some memorable moments for the club's legion of fans.

McInnes said: "We get the benefit of last season's efforts now, and we've got to try and make the most of the opportunity.

"We need to try and generate as many good moments, go as far as we can, and make some money for the club.

"It's an exciting time, one that we're determined to make the most of, and we're determined to make the most of the game.

"When I took over two and a half years ago, we had a horrible game down at Queen of the South in January with hardly anybody there.

"Now we've got this type of fixture to look forward to, we just want to go and have a go at it now and try and win the game."
