CROSSHOUSE Waverley produced a stunning comeback to capture a coveted piece of Ayrshire amateur footballing silverware.
The Ayrshire Amateur FA side got their hands on the GD Heating and Plumbing South Ayrshire Trophy after causing an upset against Premier League high-flyers Annbank United.
Annbank are currently challenging for a top league title and made the Scottish Cup quarter-finals earlier this year.
And while Crosshouse have enjoyed a remarkable season of their own in gaining promotion, and possibly winning a title in, the First Division, they were still major underdogs as they took to the field against their top flight opponents on Friday.
Annbank raced ahead at Townhead Park, and it looked like they would be adding to their trophy cabinet when Yusuf Ulukus and Lewis Kennedy converted following corner kicks to put them in the driving seat.
But Crosshouse came out fighting in the second 45 and thanks to goals from Robbie Laidlaw, Ryan Kulezich and Blair McKie, as well as some outstanding goalkeeping from man of the match Mark Jarvie, managed to overturn the deficit.
It lead to fantastic celebrations as the club earned their first trophy of the season.
They will hope to make it two this Friday, May 3, when they return to Townhead Park to face Knockentiber in the final of the Donsport Trophy.
That match kicks off at 7.30pm.
