FLAMES and fireworks are set to light up the Bonnet Toun as the annual Stewarton Torchlight Parade returns to the town.
Organised by the town's Bonnet Guild, the popular event sees thousands of residents carry torches on a route through Stewarton.
The night ends with entertainment, a bonfire and a fireworks display that lights up the sky above the town.
This year's parade will take place on Monday, December 30, and will be led by the Kilbarchan Pipe Band, who will leave at 7pm prompt from Torrance's Garage in High Street.
The parade will then head through Main Street and Lainshaw Street, before entering David Dale Avenue and into Lainshaw Woods.
Once in the open area of the woods, a bonfire will be lit, followed by a professional firework display staged by Midnight Storm.
Torches and foam glowsticks will be available to purchase from the Stewarton Community Hub on December 29-30 from 10am-2pm both days.
Any unsold torches will then be available for sale at the start point at Torrance Garage from 6pm until 6.45pm.
Torches are priced £4 each and foam glowsticks will be £2 each.
For the safety of those attending and event organisers, a temporary road closure will be in place between 6pm and 9pm after Old Mill View from Torrance Garage on High Street to the David Dale Avenue junction with the A735 Kilmarnock Road.
Parking restrictions will come into force on Lainshaw Street from 5pm–10pm on the night of the event.
A spokesperson added: "The Bonnet Guild would like to thank all advisors, supporters and sponsors for their continued support and look forward to providing the town's children and adults with a magical, free night to remember!
"In particular the National Lottery Community Fund Scotland for their help with meeting some of the event costs, to Stewarton Initiatives for their kind £500 donation towards Kilbarchan Pipe Band leading the parade once again and to main event sponsors SOD-IT and 21 Kitchens for their generous support.
"As part of the Guild’s efforts to cover the balance of costs, participants will have the opportunity to give a discretionary donation by scanning a Bonnet Guild QR code.
"Donation buckets will also be available on the evening for those who prefer to use cash. Please give generously."
