A MAN is in custody after allegedly glassing his girlfriend, shouting at paramedics and assaulting a police officer.
Campbell James LeBeau pleaded not guilty to the allegations when he appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court.
The 43-year-old is said to have caused fear and alarm at an address in Castleview, Dundonald on April 24 this year, repeatedly shouting, swearing, acting in aggressive manner and uttering offensive remarks to his partner.
It is claimed that he then assaulted the woman by repeatedly striking her on the face and head with his hand.
The charge states LeBeau then struck her on the head with a glass 'to her severe injury and permanent disfigurement'.
Both charges are aggravated by involving abuse of a partner or ex partner.
The Crown's indictment states that further threatening behaviour involved shouting and swearing at two female paramedics then in the course of their employment.
He faces a further charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner after allegedly making threats of violence to a constable at Kilmarnock police office.
The accused is said to have attempted to headbutt the same police officer.
His defence solicitor said her client pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The accused, whose address is listed as HMP Kilmarnock, was retuned to custody and will face the allegations at a later date.
