AN AWARD-WINNING Ayrshire-based travel agency had the chance to celebrate a major milestone this month.
This year marks 15 years of operating in the county for Thorne Travel, which runs three branches locally.
What started as a solo venture, by founder Shona Thorne, on Kilwinning Main Street has since flourished into a successful and highly regarded business with two further thriving stores in Largs and Prestwick.
Since starting out at the end of October 2009, with just two team members, the company has not only expanded greatly but has won a number of accolades - including being named Scotland's top travel agency five times.
Chief executive Shona said reaching the milestone, and all the recognition along the way, is testament to the dedication and commitment of the team and the support of its loyal customers.
She said: “I want to extend a sincere thank you to all our wonderful customers who have been part of our journey over the past 15 years. Their support, smiles, and loyalty have made every moment worthwhile.
“Our team’s passion, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering personalised experiences have been central to our growth and success.
“We are committed to continuing our legacy of offering bespoke travel experiences that create lifelong memories for our clients.
“We’re looking forward to expanding our offerings while maintaining the same high standards of integrity, excellence, and customer satisfaction that have guided us from the beginning.”
To mark the anniversary, Thorne Travel has been offering exclusive discounts and travel deals to loyal clients as a gesture of thanks.
Additionally, a special raffle was held for a short cruise getaway, with all proceeds benefiting All About the Magic, a local charity that supports families in need.
The lucky winner of the cruise was Caroline Greenan, a long-time customer who was "thrilled" to pick up the prize.
She added: “I’ve always booked my holidays with Thorne Travel and wouldn’t consider going anywhere else - the staff are truly the best and always go above and beyond.”
