A THRIVING restaurant and takeaway business in Ayr is set for a shake-up with a new premises opening.
The Pizzaioli currently operates a popular restaurant on the Sandgate alongside a takeaway operation on New Bridge Street.
The business lodged a planning application earlier this year with South Ayrshire Council for a change of use for a building in South Harbour Street.
The restaurant looked to change the building from a retail establishment to a hot food takeaway.
The proposals were given the green light by council planners in October, and the business has now revealed more details of its intentions.
It's current takeaway offering in New Bridge Street will be closing on Saturday, November 24, before reopening as an Italian deli in 2025.
The new takeaway in South Harbour Street will open in the coming weeks, after moving from its current location.
The new takeaway eatery will be called 'Pizzaioli To Go', with signage erected in recent days.
The thriving business is run by Italian twin brothers Mattia Piane and Jacopo Delle Piane, who decided to expand on their popular takeaway by opening the Sandgate restaurant last year.
