SECONDARY students in Kilmarnock raised over £800 for charity through their dress down day.
Grange Academy pupils supported Go Purple Day by dressing in the colour, and raised £891.85 for Ayrshire Hospice.
The initiative was organised by the S6 leadership class who made sure to spread the word around the school.
A charity spokesperson said: "Thank you to the staff and pupils of Grange Academy who held a dress down day for Go Purple this year and raised an amazing £891.85.
"It had the potential to feel like a regular school day, given their school colour is purple, but the pupils and staff found lots of ways to make it a fun-filled day."
Go Purple Day is celebrated on the third Thursday of October, which in 2024 was October 17.
It is a day to raise awareness and show support for survivors of domestic violence.
