TWO talented female apprentices from Persimmon West Scotland have been selected to undertake an Advanced Craft bricklaying course at South Lanarkshire College.

Billie Murray from Cumnock and Chantelle Muir from Ayr were chosen for their outstanding commitment and skill, demonstrated throughout their apprenticeships.

The pair joined Persimmon in 2022 and have since excelled in both the classroom and on building sites.

The Advanced Craft course is designed to build on the strong foundational skills these apprentices have developed, offering specialised training to broaden their expertise and practical knowledge in bricklaying. 

Delighted at the selection, Chantelle Muir, apprentice bricklayer, said: "Being selected for the Advanced Craft course is such an honour.

"I’m eager to refine my skills and bring back what I learn to the team.

"Persimmon has been incredibly supportive, and this opportunity is a huge step forward in my career."
