POLICE have launched an appeal for information following a serious assault in Patna.

A man was taken to hospital following the incident which took place in a wooded area between Dallowie Road and Dalvennan Avenue on Sunday, October 13.

Officers were called to the incident at around 2.20pm that day and a 46-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.

No update has been provided on his condition though Police Scotland have now asked anyone with information to come forward to assist with their investigations.

Detective Constable Neil Stevenson said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this to contact us.

“We also ask anyone who may have private CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time to come forward.”
