OUR readers across Ayrshire have been sharing with us their hopes for future restaurants they want to see open in the region.
It is no secret that there are plenty of yummy options for food in our villages and towns, but the thought of fresh options is always welcome.
Here are some of our readers' wishes for the next eatery to come to Ayrshire...
Miller and Carter
This popular steakhouse chain has restaurants across the UK, including in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
It is known for its high-quality meats and side dishes, with a premises in Newton Mearns the closest available to Ayrshire.
Nando's
A staple of the UK eating out scene, Nando's is famous for its chicken, peri-peri chips and wide variety of sauces.
Despite operating restaurants across the country, the business has never considered an option in Ayrshire.
Earlier this year, a spokesperson confirmed that the chicken chain did not have plans to open in Irvine, but added "never say never".
TGI Fridays
The embattled American chain restaurant is still a favourite amongst diners of all ages despite its financial issues.
The UK operator of TGI Fridays went into administration in September, putting 4,500 jobs at risk.
Eighty-seven of the chain's restaurants have been put up for sale, so the brand could survive to make an Ayrshire appearance.
Toby Carvery
Known as the 'home of the Sunday roast dinner', Toby Carvery is a favourite of families up and down the country.
The restaurant chain operates premises in Glasgow, Bathgate, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, and would surely be a hit with diners in Ayrshire.
Six By Nico
Six by Nico operates restaurants across the UK, and focusses on tasting menus with wild and wacky themes.
It runs busy premises in Glasgow and Edinburgh, with highlights including its 'chippy tea' series of tastings.
There are not many Ayrshire options for tasting menus, so we're sure this would be a big hit in the region.
Wagamama
Available at Silverburn Shopping Centre, Wagamama offers Asian inspired food to hungry customers.
The addition of the chain in Ayrshire would certainly diversify the region's food offering, with ramen bowls and chicken katsu among the favourites.
