A SALTCOATS business is set to expand its opening hours after an "amazing" first few weeks since re-opening.
Popular pub The Flask opened its doors once again on the last weekend of August, having been closed for a number of years previously.
Now under the management of Sean Conaghan, it has been an impressive return with some fantastic events organised with the assistance of the venue's entertainment manager Shaun Hamilton.
These events have drawn some big crowds back to the Windmill Street bar and restaurant and as a result - opening hours are to be increased.
In its initial weeks of opening, the venue has been closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
However that is to change as of Monday, September 30, when The Flask will commence opening seven days per week.
Sean commented: "The first few weeks have been pretty amazing, seeing the venue brought back to life.
"The events so far have been fantastic, and we have had a lot of positive feedback - and some constructive criticism to take forward!
"It has been good to bring something a bit different to the town, and we are so grateful for all of the support we have got so far."
It took a lot of work to get the pub to this stage, with months of hard work going into getting The Flask ready to re-open.
And that work is set to continue with Sean hoping to bring even more back to the venue in the near future.
He said: "It was a hard, stressful time getting everything back up to scratch - and there is still plenty work to be done.
"We hope to have upstairs back open in the near future, and we should be able to serve food pretty soon as well.
"This is just the start, and hopefully when we are open every day more people will become aware of all the great things we have to offer!"
