POLICE have uncovered a cannabis farm at a former Kilmarnock shop.

Officers were called to the former Superdrug store in King Street on Wednesday afternoon, and discovered the drug cultivation inside.

A similar find was uncovered several years ago, following the store's closure at the height of the pandemic in August 2020.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.25pm on Wednesday, September 11, officers were called to a premises in King Street, Kilmarnock.

“Officers attended and a cannabis cultivation was discovered within. Enquiries are ongoing.”
