Police in Ayrshire have outlined their plans to keep locals and visitors safe this summer.
The police has launched its annual Safer Shores campaign, which aims to tackle disruptive behaviours alongside a range of partners.
Inspector Ian McColl from Ayrshire Police says that he wants to see people enjoy their day in the region, especially at the seaside.
He said: "Safer Shores is a joint initiative which aims to keep the local community and those visited the area safe over the summer months.
"We want to ensure people can travel to the coast safely and enjoy their time her with friends and family safe from crime and disorder.
"Ayrshire's beaches have been known to receive a few thousand visitors a day. Most of the visitors and locals spend their time at the seaside with no disruption.
"However, it only takes a few people to ruin the day of many. We want to reduce the risk of disruptive behaviours getting out of hand so as part of safer shores we deploy officers across the division, particularly to known hotspots.
"Throughout summer, you'll see officers on the beat across Ayrshire. You will also see the mounted unit and quad bike patrols, as well as air and marine support.
"We want everyone heading to Ayrshire's beaches this summer to have fun."
