NHS Ayrshire and Arran sites have been hit by major telephone and network issues today (Monday May 20. 

All outpatient appointments before 3pm have been cancelled, with all appointments after this time still running at the moment. 

A spokesperson said: Our engineers are working to resolve the issues, however the system is likely to be down until mid afternoon. 

"This is having an impact on hospital activity, including appointments. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience."
