A man has admitted driving dangerously at excessive speeds through Ardrossan.
Hersh Mahmud Mahond, 31, of Fidra Street in Glasgow, pleaded guilty at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court following the incident on December 2 last year.
He admitted to overtaking other drivers when it was unsafe, driving onto the opposing carriageway, causing other drivers to take evasive action, failing to stop at red lights, and mounting pavements on Sorbie Road, High Road and Parkhouse Road.
Mahond's lawyer told the court that his client had arrived from Iraq in 2019, and was currently applying for settled status in the UK.
He added: "I've advised him that he will not be driving for the foreseeable."
Sheriff Nicola Patrick added: "It sounds like reports will be beneficial in this case, given the serious nature of this."
The diet was adjourned until a later date, with Mahond bailed.
