Companies and entrepreneurs hoping to be recognised at this year’s Ayrshire Business Awards can give their chances a boost with tips from two specialists in a free masterclass.
Strand PR managing director Laura Pearce and editorial manager Julie Palmer will be speaking at the awards application workshop at HALO Enterprise and Innovation Hub in Kilmarnock on Friday, May 17.
The Ayrshire Business Awards, to be held at Ayr Racecourse on October 4, are the premier event in the county’s business calendar, providing a showcase of inspiring accomplishments and triumphs.
Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce CEO Claire Baird, whose organisation runs the awards, said: “We have already had to change the venue for this event as demand has been so high.
"I’m delighted so many of our superb Ayrshire businesses will be joining us to hear what Laura and Julie have to tell us.
“There are so many advantages to taking part in these awards. It’s an ideal opportunity to let everyone know about what your business has achieved, get your name out there and celebrate success in the community.
“The calibre of entrants keeps rising each year, so the winners really are the best of the best. It’s free to enter, so make sure you do – and follow the advice from Laura and Julie to give yourself the best possible chance.”
The masterclass, open to Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce members only, has been designed to give businesses expert guidance to refine their application strategies and optimise their chances of success.
Laura and Julie will give advice on categories to enter, tips on crafting a winning entry, how to communicate business excellence, and common mistakes and pitfalls.
Applications for the awards close at 5pm on Friday, June 28, and businesses can enter in up to three categories.
