ROADS bosses have announced details of planned roadworks for this coming week in East and South Ayrshire.
Starting on Monday, April 1, the Ayrshire Roads Alliance is undertaking key works across the region, including in Prestwick, Troon, Ayr and Cumnock.
Works are continuing on the B743 at the Beacon Hill culvert, with traffic lights in operation 24 hours a day for masonry repairs.
Lights also remain in place on the Duisk Bridge at A714 Main Street in Barrhill, between 8am and 4pm each weekday.
Also in Barrhill, give and take traffic control is in place 24 hours a day on the C73 at the Chirmorie cattle grid for replacement works.
In Prestwick, give and take control will be in place on Pleasantfield Road from Tuesday, April 2 to Sunday, April 7 between 8am and 5pm each day for road lighting replacement.
Main Street in Ochiltree will be closed from April 2 to 5 between 9am and 5pm each day for carriageway resurfacing.
The B7023 will be closed every day this week from 8am to 5pm for carriageway resurfacing, between the cemetery and the C58 junction.
In Troon, the B749 at Monktonhill Road will be closed for resurfacing from March 2 to 8, between 8am and 5pm every day.
Traffic lights will be in operation on the A759 near Hillhouse Quarry every day for removal of railway abutments.
Convoy working will be in place on the A71 from U6 Newlands to U4 Ladybrow from April 2 to 4 due to installation of new road markings.
Traffic lights will be in operation in the Holmhead area every day from April 2 to 8, at Hospital Road, Stepend Road and Templand Drive.
Also in Holmhead, traffic lights will be in operation during the same time on Bute Road, Eric Ross Way and Holmhead Road.
In Muirkirk, traffic lights will be in operation from April 2 to 5 on Smallburn Road between 9:30am and 3:30pm each day.
In Cumnock, Townhead Street will see temporary traffic lights every day due to refuge island works.
