Ayrshire College students now have the perfect roadmap to success thanks to a special partnership with a motor vehicle specialist.

The new collaboration between the college and Bridgend Motor Group will give successful full-time motor vehicle students from pre-apprenticeship courses the opportunity to enrol in Bridgend's Training Academy.

Upon successful completion, the learners will then return to study for a Modern Apprenticeship.

Bridgend Motor Group comprises 13 departments whose operations encompass used car sales, used commercial vehicle sales, service, maintenance, MOT and accident repair.

The family-owned firm, with more than 250 local employees across seven branches covering North, South and East Ayrshire, has been investing in the community for almost a century.

Alison Mitchell, HR Manager at Bridgend Motor Group, said: “We are delighted to partner with Ayrshire College and give its students the chance to join our academy programme and progress through a Modern Apprenticeship.

“Bridgend Motor Group has been driving Ayrshire forward since 1930 and we believe that this partnership will provide learners with a pathway to full-time employment in the region and help our business to flourish.”
