National sight loss charity RNIB Scotland are holding free drop-in events across Ayrshire later this year.
People can learn about the services available for blind and partially sighted people and meet others experiencing sight loss.
RNIB Scotland’s 'Eye Connect' events are being held in:
-
Irvine: Bridgegate Pop Up Unit & Wellbeing Hub - March 21, 10.30am - 1pm
-
Ayr: The Cutty-Sark Centre - April 8, 10am - 12pm
-
Kilmarnock: The Howard Centre – April 10, 10am – 2pm
-
Troon: Walker Hall - April 17, 10am - 12pm
-
Girvan: Girvan Community Centre - April 23, 9.30am – 11.30am
Conor Joseph, RNIB Scotland Community Connection Coordinator, said: “These events were set up after demand from blind and partially sighted people across Ayrshire who would like to receive more information about the available services in their area.
“Everyone is welcome to come to these events, whether you’ve engaged with services before, you are new to sight loss and seeking support, or perhaps you’re a family member or friend.
"We’d like to ensure every person with sight loss in Ayrshire has access to the support they need.”
