A KILMARNOCK man has been spared jail after performing a sex act in the presence of two women.
John Hamilton appeared at the town's sheriff court earlier this month to be sentenced after pleading guilty to a single charge.
The 36-year-old previously admitted that on January 2 of this year he intentionally engaged in sexual activity on the town's Assloss Road.
Court papers describe how Hamilton, of Eday Crescent, performed a sex act on himself and exposed his private parts while in his vehicle.
After hearing mitigation from the Kilmarnock man's solicitor, Sheriff Murdoch Mactaggart opted not to send Hamilton to prison.
Instead, he was placed on a community payback order which will involved 18 months of social work supervision as well as being ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work over the next six months.
Hamilton was also placed on the sex offenders register for a period of 18 months.
