Galston Medical Practice has confirmed that it will not close next month, after concerns were raised by patients. 

The Ballochmyle Medical Group (BMG), which currently provides services to residents of Mauchline and Catrine, will take over the contract at the practice from April 2. 

Patients are set to receive a letter from the health board which will provide more information.

Prior to the official handover of the practice to BMG, they will be holding a community engagement evening for patients.

Patients will have an opportunity to head along, meet the new GPs, have a tea or coffee and ask any questions they may have about the future of the practice.

The practice has confirmed that there will be no interruption in patient access or care and patients should continue to contact the practice in the normal way.
