Two Ayrshire towns have been included in a list of the 20 best places to live in Scotland this year.
Garrington Property Finders has analysed data to uncover the best places to live across the country.
The company used 12 criteria to rank each place, including natural beauty, well being, employment and connectivity plus value for money.
Ayr comes in at number eight on the list, ranking high for value and well being. Garrington found that the average price of a home in the town was £170,000.
Girvan, also in South Ayrshire, came in at number 16 on the list, scoring highly for value. The average price of a house here was also found to be £170,000.
Kirkintilloch was named as the best place to live in Scotland, with Blairgowrie/Rattray, and Crieff, coming in second and third.
