Some of Ayrshire's train services have resumed on Wednesday after Storm Jocelyn lashed the country overnight.
ScotRail warned on Tuesday that there would be no services on any of its routes on Wednesday, January 24 until all lines have been checked for damage or other obstructions.
Services between Glasgow and Prestwick Town, and Glasgow and Largs have now resumed following line checks.
However, services to Kilmarnock and Ardrossan through Irvine are not yet running.
According to Network Rail, a weather station in Ardrossan recorded a gust of 71.4mph in the early hours of Wednesday - matching the speeds recorded at the same location during Storm Isha.
🍃🌬️ /1 Since 04:00, we’ve seen gusts at or above 60mph across lines in Glasgow and the west coast of Scotland, as expected. At Ardrossan in Ayrshire, a weather station recorded gusts of 71.4mph, matching the gusts recorded there during Storm Isha. #StormJocelyn pic.twitter.com/kBOw3PJfn0

A yellow 'be aware' Met Office warning for strong winds is in place for Ayrshire, and across large parts of Scotland until 1pm on Wednesday - though for much of the west and north coast the warning has the more serious 'amber' status - meaning 'be prepared'.
Trains ran largely without disruption on the lines linking Prestwick, Ardrossan and Largs with Glasgow on Tuesday, but in line with a warning issued by ScotRail earlier in the day, there were no services after 7pm.
But on the line in East Ayrshire, no services ran south of Kilmarnock on Tuesday at all.
