More than £2million in funding is still required to complete the Ayrshire Hospice's major capital build project.

The charity is renovating its iconic home on Ayr's Racecourse Road, with its doors set to reopen later this year.

The build will include a new in-patient unit with 12 single, specialist palliative care en-suite rooms, clinical and community nursing hubs, and a vibrant playroom among other features.

A charity spokesperson said: "We can’t wait to open the doors of our redeveloped Hospice facilities later in 2024. But we still need to raise just over £2million to secure our funding and complete our build.

"Any support you can offer while we rebuild our traditional home is appreciated by the people of Ayrshire and Arran.

"Our Hospice is more than just a building, it's about the care that we deliver extending beyond our walls and into the heart of our community.
