Plans have been lodged for a new Costa Coffee drive-thru in Kilmarnock.

A planning application has been submitted to East Ayrshire Council for a new facility on the town's busy Queen's Drive.

The sit-in and drive-thru coffee house will sit on land currently owned by Kilmarnock Rugby Club, opposite the busy retail park which includes shops such as Asda and Next.

The plans also include a nearby office space, as well as 50 parking spaces for visitors to the coffee chain.

Costa currently operates two other premises in the town; on Portland Street and inside the nearby Odeon cinema.

The full application can be viewed on East Ayrshire Council's planning portal with reference 23/0666/PP.
