Police were called to reports of a crash on a major route between Irvine and Kilmarnock on Saturday night. 

Officers attended the scene on the A71 near Dreghorn, with the vehicles recovered from the major road. 

A police spokesperson said: "Police received a report of a road crash on the A71, near Corsehill Mount roundabout, around 9pm on Saturday, December 23.

"Officers attended to assist and the vehicles were recovered."
