We would all love a bit of snow on Christmas Day, but unfortunately for Ayrshire residents this year it looks very unlikely.
Snow is set to fall in the north of the country to mark a White Christmas, but only rain will be falling from the sky in the west of Scotland.
In Kilmarnock in East Ayrshire, overnight temperatures will only fall to three degrees, with a rainy start to the day.
Temperatures will rise to a high of eight degrees during the day, but persistent rain will try to dampen Christmas spirits.
Ayr in South Ayrshire will see overnight lows of five degrees, before rain begins at around 6am.
The area will see highs of nine degrees during the day, as rain persists into boxing day.
Ardrossan in North Ayrshire will see temperatures fall to around four degrees overnight, rising to highs of nine degrees during Christmas Day.
Rain will not begin in North Ayrshire until around midday, with heavy rain conditions expected later in the evening.
A yellow weather warning for wind remains in place across Ayrshire until midnight on Christmas Eve.
