Generous swimmers and parents at Kilmarnock Amateur Swimming Club proved Christmas is the time for giving with a generous foodbank donation. 

Club captains Neve and Yvie were on hand to drop off the donations at the local service, which were donated during the club's recent Winter Championships.

Club head coach Sharon and her aerobic class were also on hand to kindly add to the donations.

A club spokesperson said: "This winter will be the foodbank's busiest ever. More people than ever are being driven to food banks and the sharp increase in people needing help is outstripping food donations.

"Donations are vital to ensure foodbanks in our network can continue to help everyone referred to them."
