ScotRail is asking passengers for their views on whether a ban on booze on board its trains should be lifted.
Passengers using the rail operator's free on-board wi-fi have been asked to take part in a short survey on the issue.
The ban was brought in during the pandemic, when it was described as a temporary measure - but it has yet to be lifted.
The survey asks passengers the simple question of whether they would support removing the ban on drinking alcohol on board.
As a publicly-owned rail operator the final decision on whether to lift the ban would lie with the Scottish Government, though ScotRail will supply the survey feedback to ministers.
Phil Campbell, ScotRail’s customer operations director, said: “We regularly survey customers on a variety of topics relating to the journey experience.
“The survey results help us to understand the views of customers and the experience they have when travelling with ScotRail.
“Any information we receive helps to inform future decisions, and this survey will be no different.”
