A DARVEL man is awaiting sentence after admitting being in possession of indecent photographs of children.

David Finnie, 35, pleaded guilty to a pair of charges when he appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court last week.

Finnie, of East Donnington Street, admitted one charge of possession, and one of taking, permitting to be taken or making, indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children.

The offences were committed on various occasions between October 5, 2021 and May 5, 2022 at an address in Galston and elsewhere.

Following his guilty pleas, Finnie was released on bail; he will return to court to be sentenced next year.
