Proposals have been submitted to install floodlights at Kilmaurs Tennis Club for the first time.

The club operates next to the village primary school and has two courts sitting alongside a small clubhouse.

Plans have now been lodged with East Ayrshire Council for six new floodlights that will sit inside the boundary fence to give light to the courts at night.

Each floodlight will be eight metres high, and will use asymmetrical beams to minimise light spill into existing properties.

The new lights would be operated by token meters located on a new service cabinet on the clubhouse wall.

The full application can be viewed on East Ayrshire Council's planning portal using reference number 23/0593/PP.
