A yellow weather warning for heavy rain has been issued across Ayrshire, with some disruption expected.
The Met Office says that heavy rain could bring some disruption to parts of southwest, central and eastern Scotland.
The alert is in place from 3am on Wednesday morning, November 1, until 3pm the same day, with flooding in some areas likely, spray and flooding on the roads and disruption to transport services.
A Met Office spokesperson said: "Following recent very wet weather, further heavy rain is expected to affect the highlighted areas on Wednesday, spreading from south to north through the course of the day.
"Rainfall amounts are likely to reach 20-30 mm widely, with a risk of 40-50 mm in some locations, mainly over higher ground."
