Barnardo’s stores across Ayrshire are calling on kind-hearted locals to hand in any pre-loved items.

The donations will help to raise vital funds to support the most vulnerable children and families this winter.

The children’s charity is especially on the lookout for good quality womenswear and menswear to be brought along to any of their 60-plus stores in Scotland.

Across Ayrshire, Barnardo's has stores in Kilmarnock, Largs, Ayr, Troon and Irvine.

Martin Crewe, director of Barnardo’s Scotland, said: “With Christmas not too far away, we suspect a lot of households in Scotland will be wanting to do something of a pre-festive clear-out, and that’s where Barnardo’s comes in.

"We would love to receive your pre-loved goods, especially all types of clothing.

“You can bring your items along to any of our stores, and our team will be more than grateful to take them off your hands.

"Every donation made to our stores will help raise much needed funds to support our vital services across Scotland this winter.”
