A hotel welcomed film crews earlier this month for a mystery television show shoot.

The Uplawmoor Hotel, which sits just outside the East Ayrshire boundary, was taken over by crews from Studio Lambert on October 4.

A sign at the hotel confirmed that filming was for a show featuring Britain's B&Bs, hotels and guest accommodation. 

A hotel spokesperson said: "We are filming at the hotel all day and night in certain areas but not where you will be dining so don’t worry about being filmed."

The sign said: "A television production team are filming here today. 

"The television programme will feature a variety of Britain's B&Bs, hotel and guest accommodation, showing the facilities they offer, the food they provide to guests and some of the tourist attractions in their area."
