THERE are more than 400 registered sex offenders living in Ayrshire communities, according to data released by Police Scotland.

The statistics, produced by the force in August of this year, show how many RSOs are living in every postcode in Scotland.

This ranges from as many as 52 in some parts of the county - to three areas which have none.

Statistics show there to be 407 RSOs living in Ayrshire communities, with a further 130 in custody or in hospital in the county.
