An award-winning Kilmarnock author is returning to her hometown to celebrate the release of her new novel.

Zoe Strachan is hosting a live event at the Dick Institute following the release of her book 'Catch the Moments as They Fly'.

Zow will be reading from and discussing her new novel with fellow author and professor Liam McIlvanney.

The author, who now lives in Glasgow and is Reader in Creative Writing at the University of Glasgow, has three previous novels to her name; Negative Space, Spin Cycle and Ever Fallen in Love.

Author Jane McKie said: "Catch the Moments as They Fly is, simultaneously, an engrossing and affecting love story, a family saga, and a deft portrait of Scottish urban life in the wake of two world wars.

"Subtle, layered, and full of captivating historical detail as well as vividly drawn characters, this is a novel to get lost in. Absolutely compelling."

Join Zoe in the Dick Institute event space at 2pm on Saturday, October 14, with tickets priced at £10 for adults and £7 for concessions.
