A third person has been arrested and charged in connection with the fire at the Station Hotel in Ayr earlier this week.

The fire was reported around 5.45pm on Monday, 25 September, 2023. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 13 year-old male youth has been arrested and charged in connection and a report will be sent to the relevant authority.

"Two male youths, aged 17 and 13 were previously arrested and charged in connection and will be reported to the relevant authorities."
