Police officers in Ayrshire have been patroling the region's rivers during Rural Crime Week.

Wildlife crime officers have been working with partners to patrol the Stinchar, Doon and Ayr rivers in recent days.

Working together through the Ayrshire Partnership Against Rural Crime, officers have been investigating poaching incidents and discussing anti-social behaviour issues with riparian owners, bailiffs and river board members.

National Rural Crime Week took place from September 18 to 24, and serves to highlight the work that our police forces undertake to tackle rural crime.
