Ayrshire Hospice's Make a Will Fortnight takes place next month, with the public being encouraged to join in and support the charity.
This year, more than 17 local solicitors will write or update people's wills from October 16 to 30, in exchange for a donation to the hospice.
It’s easy and affordable, all you have to do is arrange an appointment with one of our participating solicitors listed on the Ayrshire Hospice website.
The first Make a Will Fortnight was held in 2011 and, so far, it has raised an amazing £280,000 for Ayrshire Hospice.
One in three of the hospice's patients are cared for thanks to gifts in wills and legacies are a vital fundraising area for the charity.
Leaving just one per cent of your estate to the hospice can help local families affected by life-limiting illnesses, all while making sure your loved ones will be looked after too.
Ron Swanson, fundraising manager at Ayrshire Hospice, said: “By making a will, you can ensure that those closest to you are looked after in the future. It’s the ideal time for someone who hasn’t yet arranged their will as you can do this and support the Ayrshire Hospice.
"Whether you have joined the property ladder or have become a new parent, now is the time to protect your future. You will be taking care of your loved ones and helping your local hospice by supporting the campaign.
“Thank you to all the participating solicitors who are giving their time and expertise free of charge to support our Make a Will Fortnight.”
