AN UPCOMING ITV drama has returned to East Ayrshire to film reshoots in October.

Filming for the television show Coldwater will take place in Dunlop from Tuesday, October 1 until Thursday, October 17.

Camera crews previously came to the village in July to film the majority of the programme’s scenes.

Throughout the production process, multiple roads in the surrounding area will be closed off such as Main Street, and the roads accessing Dunlop Kirk.

The programme has an all-star cast which includes The Walking Dead’s Andrew Lincoln alongside Eve Myles, Ewen Bremner and Indira Varma. 

The series follows an unhappy middle-aged man who moves to an isolated Scottish village and strikes up a friendship with his oddball next door neighbour despite his wife's protestations and suspicions.

Produced by the production company SISTER for ITV1 and ITVX, the first three episodes will be directed by Lee Haven Jones and feature Lincoln’s return to TV.
