Limited spaces remain for a unique chance to 'Run the Runway' at Prestwick Airport later this year.

The charity event sold out for the first time within hours of registration opening, before more spaces were added a few days later.

Limited spaces now remain for the event, which will raise money for three local charities: the Ayrshire Hospice, Beatson Cancer Charity and the Doing It For Daniel Foundation.

Participants will have the option to walk or run 5K, or run 10K. All participants taking part on November 2 will receive a special finishers t-shirt.

An airport spokesperson said: "Our Run the Runway charity fundraiser is proving popular - we reached our original capacity within two hours of online registration opening.

"After securing some more volunteers we were able to more than double the capacity to meet demand and so reopened the online registration.

"We are close to selling out again so if you want to secure your spot on the start line please register at https://bit.ly/3LA0hqP."
