Plans have been revealed to extend a busy Kilmarnock hotel.
Premier Inn has applied for a 16-bedroom extension at its hotel near the Moorfield Roundabout on the outskirts of the town.
The existing hotel contains 64 bedrooms and a restaurant and pub for 200 people, but the extension would bring the number of bedrooms to 80.
As part of the plans, two bedrooms would be converted to a Universal Access Room, and four bedrooms would be converted to a new breakfast room with capacity for 48.
Plans drawn up by Walsingham Planning show that the car park would remain at 106 spaces, including five disabled bays.
Planning documents state: "The existing site comprises a 64 -bedroom Premier Inn hotel and associated Cookhouse & Pub restaurant which are both operated by Whitbread.
"Car parking is provided on-site with capacity to accommodate a total of 106 cars, including 5 disabled bays, for the shared use of the hotel and restaurant.
"The proposals involve a net 16 -bedroom extension to the existing hotel, resulting in a total of 80 bedrooms, with 106 car parking spaces post-development.
"A breakfast room would be provided to accommodate guests’ morning meals, however, this would not generate any external trade."
