A driver has been fined following a two car crash on the A77 near Kilmarnock this morning (Thursday, May 2) 

Emergency services were called to the northbound carriageway just after 8am, with the occupants of both vehicles checked over by ambulance crews. 

One driver was handed a fixed penalty ticket following the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 8.15am on Thursday, May 2, to a report of two vehicle crash on the A77 northbound near New Farm Loch, Kilmarnock.

“Emergency services attended and the occupants of both vehicles were checked over by the Scottish Ambulance Service.”

“One driver, a man, has been issued with a Fixed Penalty Ticket.”
