Businesses across Ayrshire are raising a glass after being crowned winners in the 11th Scottish Wedding Awards 2024.

The awards aim to recognise and reward those within the wedding industry that work towards making the big day as perfect as possible.

This year’s glamorous event took place on March 6 at The Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Glasgow, with plenty of Ayrshire winners picking up trophies.

The Wee Wedding Shack in Irvine was honoured as Florist of the Year (South West), with its owner saying she was "so excited and over the moon" to have won.

The award-winning Pulze Photography in Auchinleck was named as Photographer of the Year (South West).

West Kilbride counted two winners on the night, including Opus Couture as Wedding Boutique of the Year (South West).

The popular Seamill Hydro Hotel was also honoured as Wedding Venue of the Year (South West).

Abundance in Saltcoats was named as Hair and Makeup Salon of the Year for the whole country, with owner Vicky Bryce saying she was "absolutely thrilled" with the award.

Laura Dewar MUA from Troon was hailed as Freelance Wedding Hair/Makeup Specialist of the Year (South West), whilst Honeymoon Planner of the Year went to Thorne Travel, which has branches across the region.

The area also counted a number of 'highly commended' awards on the night, including Murray Kilt and Formal Wear Hire in Irvine in the Groomswear Supplier of the Year category.
