An Ayrshire man has been sentenced to more than two years in prison after a string of incidents across the region.
Sonny Dean McDonagh, 28, pleaded guilty to four charges at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court.
McDonagh, who was described in court papers as a prisoner at HMP Kilmarnock, admitted entering a dwelling at Fleming Terrace in Irvine on June 17 last year and stealing a set of keys and a pair of shoes.
The same day, he behaved in a threatening and abusive manner at Seaton Terrace in the town, shouting, swearing and making threatening gestures.
He also pleaded guilty to obstructing officers at Saltcoats police office, lashing out with his arms and kicking out at police witnesses, as well as shouting, swearing, making comments of a sexual nature and lunging at police officers whilst they were attempting to close and secure the cell door.
He was jailed for 28 months.
