A MAN has been disqualified for 12 months after being caught four times over the drink driving limit in Dreghorn.
John Dougan, 45, from Lochlea, Kilmarnock was stopped by police at the Corsehill Mount roundabout on October 10-11 last year.
He supplied a breath sample which was four times higher than the permitted maximum.
Dougan pleaded guilty at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court to driving while under the influence of alcohol.
His breath sample gave a reading of 88 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
The legal limit in Scotland is 22 micrograms.
As well as being disqualified from driving for 12 months, the minimum ban laid down in the law, Dougan was fined £640 and given a three month rehabilitation order.
