A special Christmas book featuring nine Kilmarnock children has officially launched and is available to purchase.

'The Town that saved Christmas - a Kilmarnock story' was created by East Ayrshire Council in partnership with East Ayrshire Leisure, Kilmarnock Business Association, Kilmarnock Football Club, Centrestage, Take a Bow, and Above Adventure.

The book tells a story of when children find Santa's sleigh has crashed in Dean Castle Country Park, and how they embark on an adventure that takes in many famous local landmarks across Kilmarnock.

This includes Dean Castle, the Palace Theatre pantomime, Centrestage, Kilmarnock Football Club and Above Adventure as they try to gather all the lost presents and save Christmas.

The book launched at Kilmarnock's Winter Festival on Sunday, November 26 and is now available to purchase in I Love Gifts, The Purple Turtle, Gallery 2, Forever Young, Above Adventure and Kevs Kards, or you can buy it online.

Anyone who buys the book will be in with the chance of winning a £250 East Ayrshire gift-card. Just scan the QR Code on the insert inside the book to enter.
