Ayrshire now looks set to miss the worst of Storm Babet, according to the Met Office.

A yellow warning had been in place across the area amid forecasts of heavy rain.

Yellow, amber and red weather warnings are still in place for parts of Scotland, however these are mostly along the east coat and the north.

But according to the Met Office website, no weather warnings are in place for any part of Ayrshire for the next few days.

The area was expected to be faced with potential of flooding, dangerous driving conditions and a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses.

The warning came into effect at 6am on Thursday and was originally in place for Ayrshire until 6am on Saturday.

However, the latest update from the Met Office shows there are no longer any warnings in place for any areas of Ayrshire.

Some light showers are still expected across some areas from today and over the weekend.
