East Ayrshire Council is undertaking a review of polling districts and polling places ahead of the next general election.

The local authority wants to hear residents views on current polling places and their ongoing suitability.

The consultation will run until November 24, and will then be considered by the council before being confirmed in the electoral register.

A council spokesperson said: "We would welcome the views of electors within the East Ayrshire area, particularly disabled residents, or any person or body with expertise in access for persons with any type of disability, to comment on these proposals, the Returning Officer's comments, or any other matters.

"Any views should, if possible, give alternative places that may be used as a polling place."

Comments should be emailed to elections@east-ayrshire.gov.uk or sent to...
