The dates for the first ever North Ayrshire Mental Health Arts Festival have been announced. 

Events will take place across the authority from October 2 to 22, including two exhibitions in Irvine and Largs.

The festival will feature a range of events for people to participate in and enjoy whilst raising the spotlight on mental health and wellbeing.

It will also showcase the importance creative arts has in maintaining wellbeing, providing support and recovery.

The 'How We See Ourselves' exhibition runs at Irvine's Harbour Arts Centre until October 21, with a seperate show titled 'Art for Mental Health and Wellbeing' in Gallery Sometimes in Largs from October 16 to 22.
